Some security holes were patched today. Please let me know if you see any issues...everything looks fine from what I can see.

I think the upgrade broke the shoutbox #-o

The shoutbox was an addon so I might have to reinstall it.

You can get the proper time in your profile. -6 hours.

Okay, I've been waiting and waiting, and nothing's happened, so I'm about to ask the million dollar question.

When do we get the Shoutbox and the Development Dates box back?

KCP, I have no Development Dates box, it seems to have disappeared. I've looked at the site from both Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer...to no avail.

I can see the calendar, but I can't advance to December or click on an event for more info. So far I've only tried in Firefox.

staub is right, the calendar is there but not quite functioning. I'll see if I can get both problems fixed today but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Calendar should now work properly.

Ignore is half fixed. For some reason you can't bypass and read a message of somebody you have on ignore. I doubt that will be fixed until I can upgrade to the new forum coming out sometime this year. You can now properly add and delete people out of your ignore list though.

Shoutbox is next to fix.

We're switching forum software?!? Is that such a good idea? I see nothing wrong with this one. Does this mean we all get our post counts set back to zero?

EDIT: Or maybe you just meant upgrading the existing forum software (?) :)

just a new version of this software. The minor upgrade I did last week was just to fix up some security holes. The organization that made this software is currently working on a brand new release that will incorporate many features that I've had to addon to the basic installation and hence are failing now when I did the upgrade.

No posts, totals, names or anything will be lost. Doesn't look like the new stuff will come out until 1Q 2005.

I still have no development box for some reason. I even logged out, deleted all of my cookies, and logged back in...still not there.

But anyway, an item for the calender (if it's not already there-I wouldn't know since I can't see it...)

Urban Society of KC meeting this Wednesday Dec. 1 to discuss the proposed sites for a downtown baseball stadium.

Here's the email I received:

Downtown Ballpark Meeting

Please mark your calendar for Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 5:30 pm for an Urban Society meeting that will launch our study of the five potential sites for a downtown ballpark. The meeting will be at Helix Architecture+Design at 1629 Walnut, and should last an hour. Details on the agenda will follow.

it's weird you can't even see the box. Nothing changed in there that I know of. Can you pull up the calendar via this link?

Yeah, I can see the calendar through the link, but that seems to be all. I wonder if it's some snafu with my user account. I have the same problem from my computer at work...whether at home or at work. And for me the shoutbox is smack in the middle of the page without the development box, not offset to the right side as is normal. :|

very weird. I doubt it's your user account just because the code that puts in that calendar box isn't tied to user information. You could check that by logging out and seeing if it shows up.

I'll look at the code and see if I can see anything weird.
