fox news 4 website:

Financial Disclosure Filing Released by Downtown Arena Opponents
Kansas City, MO-- Another heated debate is taking place over the proposed downtown arena. And it seems the campaign money trail is a hot topic too. Arena opponents released a new financial disclosure filing. It shows on top of the already raised 437-thousand dollars, an additional 250-thousand dollars has been raised to defeat the tax. The biggest contributor, donating everything but ten-thousand dollars, is Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Those supporting the arena have raised 73-thousand dollars, in addition to 533-thousand dollars. A Maryland Developer planning to build the Kansas City Live Entertainment District gave the most money to supporters.

now we are behind in money. not good.

Why can't we get any help from the state? These bastards all need to be put in jail.

Being behijnd in money may not necessarily be a bad thing. Public perception may more and more see Enterprise as an evil outsider trying to buy votes.

I spoke to a friend of mine who works at the KC Corporate office for Enterprise and he says they have been flying people in from all over the midwest this past week to assist their effort. He also says that the pres of Enterprise already has a financial stake in getting the next NBA team available to STL.

Why don't they just come out and admit it.

I have more respect for a chimp than I do Enterprise. And a chimp eats its own shit.

If this is true, and if Enterprise is a corporation, the shareholders need to be made aware of this and they need to sack the jackass. He may not care about losing the KC market, but they will- and they won;t be happy about his blowing $1,000,000 of theremoney to get a stake in an NBA team for St. Louis.

I beliieve the contributions are tax deductible.

They are hurting Kansas City and getting a tax write-off at the same time.

enterprise is a private company, nobody to answer to as far as stockholders.

I don't think political ads are tax deductible but I dropped out of accounting in my first year so don't listen to me.

I just spoke with a former CPA. She believes the funds Enterprise gave are not tax deductible.

They are a privately owned company (the Taylor family)....so they don't have to answer to anyone on spending this money
