Yes a beer that is made here in Kansas City, that traveled less than 5 miles, and can be bought most other places for under $5. Its hard to believe the overhead warrants $10 beers. Im not going to tell them how to conduct their business, just that they have priced me out as a customer.

Yeah - 5%, not 100%.

Though I have no reason not to believe you, I'm calling BS.  I will go to Blue Grotto later this week and order a Bob's 47 and report back.

Had no idea Blue Grotto had turned into a strip club.  Interesting!

yeah, that has to be a mistake on BG's part.  blue grotto charges $9-12 for a pizza, $7-9 for a glass of wine, how could they think they could charge $10 for a beer?  mayor-of-waldo: did you ask the server or bartender about it?

I did not, my wife and I were just stunned.  I call them about it yesterday but they must have been closed on Sunday or not answering.

Why would we believe you?

Good question.  Guess you'll just have to take a leap of faith.  Or, go down there yourself.

It was on draft. Why would I lie, what would I gain?
Someone (KC-wildcat) call and ask if they were to go in on Saturday night and order a pint of bobs how much should they expect to pay and report back?

You never said whether it was or not. It's the others that were jumping to conclusions. I was just trying to get the story from you.

The crouton is actually still a bread stick. You basically have to cut it up the lettuce and bread stick into croutons. I kind of enjoyed doing it, but I figure some folks (maybe older) will be turned off by it.
I'm not an older folk at all, but this sounds unappealing.  If I feel like making my own salad, I'll go to Sweet Tomatoes.  And it will not be a heart of romaine.

Not calling you a liar.  Just thinking there may be more to the story.  Maybe you were mischarged.  Maybe it was a 32 oz glass.    I just refuse to believe Blue Grotto is selling $10 12 oz. beers.  I mean, their most expensive glass of wine is $10.

This site does not have the capacity if I posted every time I buy a beer. The reason I posted on here is because I bought 2 pints of Bobs 47 and it was fucking $20.

Perhaps they accidentally rung it up as two Boulevard Double Wide bottles or some such larger bottle of beer.

I'll make up the difference if we don't need to hear about it anymore
