I have several places that the Royals want to have a new stadium in place prior to the lease expiring and the Chiefs are hoping for that as well so they know what to do. I can see a new stadium opening around 2030 or even sooner.
At the rate they're going now it makes sense. What's the point of opening in 2031 when in 2022 we're already steaming towards a build.
Lot of things that still need to be ironed out. We’re still relatively early in the process
Yes but one things for sure, the Royals will have to start play in their new stadium by the start of the 2031 season. No later.
If they were to break lease, what's the earliest they would do it?

If cordish is dedicated to the community and plans a total 6-8 towers here. I’m surprised they aren’t going to build a trophy/legacy tower
The building at Truman and Main will be the best chance at that but the Cordish family isn’t flashy or egotistical, so I don’t see them doing something over the top by any means.
Helping transform downtown is legacy enough but it would be cool to see them do one more dramatic design. If we could ever tap into the condo world, that would be a much more realistic option.
Me too! At least 60 floor mixed use tower with surrounding retail/street active use, including a second tower on the block of lesser height, maybe 30 floor hotel adjacent to the T-Mobile Center. Dreams!
Thank you for the pics. I am diabetic and had a stroke so, my ability to go downtown from the Northtown is limited. The pictures you send make my day. I so appreciate you! You are indeed a Gentleman!!!!!!

Thank you so much for your kind post! I’m glad I can bring a little bit of downtown to you.
I'm very late to finding this thread, but I've been watching this come up and set up a time lapse camera from time to time. Also, looks like the cantilevered deck and pool overhang just got started.
Also, first time posting on a phpBB system in a decade, so I'll probably mangle these tags.
Visible progress has slowed down a bit now that they've hit the 8th floor and the layout gets a little more complicated. Here's another time lapse of pouring part of the 8th and leaving some foundation for more structure. The pool in the distance under the B&B sign is framed up and has since been closed up, but not poured yet.
Was at P&L this week. I noticed that you can start to see 3L in the background now behind P&L when you're there- especially from the second deck. It's going to look like a canyon around the area with 2L.
