That was the same rate I was seeing on their site a few days ago?
Is the restaurant open off the bar, I think called the Stillwell? It wasn't last weekend.

It’s $260 online when I search it.KCPowercat wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 10:15 pm That was the same rate I was seeing on their site a few days ago?

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)
Jermaine Reed held his birthday event at the Loews tonight. The Loews bar (with food menu) is already really popular - the place was packed throughout the night. The space is amazing and I recommend you check it out.
There is an outdoor terrace that fronts i670 and Baltimore - great space that is almost ruined by the sounds of the interstate. Motorcycles, downshifting semi trucks, and muscle cars get cost to blowing ones ears out every 10 minutes.

Build the park over highway, but the problem is elevation change right here. You'd have to dig the highway down more to build a park.normalthings wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 11:26 pm Jermaine Reed held his birthday event at the Loews tonight. For this stretch where a park cap wouldn’t work, there must still be a way to build a sound-blocking cap to provide a barrier to the noise and sight of the interstate.

you could build a reflector. Something like a orchestra shell. Could be as small as the railing around the patio, as long as it block the line of sight to the source.

All the speculative renderings for the cap show a park here that terraces down from Wyandotte to Baltimore.

I should also mention that LOEWs had signage up for a monthly parking pass.normalthings wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 11:26 pm Jermaine Reed held his birthday event at the Loews tonight. That's a really bad design flaw.

I imagine that when the tourist and convention industry recovers, the Loews lobby bar will be a busy place. Based on the photos I've seen, it looks good although a bit sterile when compared to the Live by Loews in St. Louis. That's more baseball themed, and that makes sense. Loews KC is nice regardless. I plan on staying there some time.

It’s a 5 floor drop. There are stairs part of the way and elevator

that is going to be the primary entry/exit for a lot of customers. Escalators can go multiple floors.

The cap would include that section. I’m not sure why it’s legal for Semi’s to use their Jake Breaks down that section of road. It’s a constant issue.

I don't believe it's legal.

I think the elevators will be fine.KCPowercat wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 8:59 am that is going to be the primary entry/exit for a lot of customers. Escalators can go multiple floors.
9 rooms booked tonight. Down from ~120 during weekend.
