"Construct concrete superstructure and foundation" plan version 4 failed this week in part because additional permits/documents needed for the new public space improvements (14th street). Is this a new avenue in which to push back on the streetscape design?

I can almost guarantee that the wooden box area will be the crane.

Concrete forms for basement are being installed. Crane base poured earlier this week and first crane segment is in place.

By showing them that the city will build a poorly designed building for a company on the downslide?normalthings wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 11:51 pm really hoping this project shows other area CEOs what they could have

As much as I think all of us absolutely detest the design of the building, and the process by which it was done, we can all agree that an infill project is SIGNIFICANTLY better than another green space suburban office campus built from scratch.empires228 wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2020 1:58 amBy showing them that the city will build a poorly designed building for a company on the downslide?normalthings wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 11:51 pm really hoping this project shows other area CEOs what they could have

AMEN. That sums up everything. Including the scaled-back 13th and Grand project.

There appears to be rebar going in on both sides of this outcropping, which seems odd. Is the outcropping getting embedded in the building?

I guess not. Build permit for a 19 story - 600,000 sqft structure was approved this week.normalthings wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2020 4:55 am "Construct concrete superstructure and foundation" plan version 4 failed this week in part because additional permits/documents needed for the new public space improvements (14th street). Love the double reflection of the KCPL on Loews. It looks like W&R might be a little longer east-west than Loews is ?

Wadell & Reed's earnings are expected to decline by 35% yoy in the second quarter. Not great but not as bad as many other companies. We are lucky that this project started when it did.
