On our drive to Arkansas, our first stop was Branson, to look around, eat dinner and sleep.
We ate dinner at a Greek restaurant. Not bad.
Baklava. Drat! We didn’t eat any.
Welcome to Greece!
Okay. I like signs.
Seemingly out of place in Branson. But they know where vacationers go.
More my speed.
Now we’re on a roll.
Wanna buy a rock? Or you could just find one on the ground for free.
Plums make for good color. The sky cooperated, too.
My son noticed this spider web, woven into a heart shape. I had to capture it.
Wall art through an iron fence.

Re: Arkansas 2019
This sign appears to be five neon lights. I wish I had asked.
With a few hours remaining in our first day after dinner, we walk to where people meet, along the river.
Me and my shadow, walking down the avenue.
No train is approaching now.
It awaits orders.
Yeah, I’m following you guys down the stairs.
We could see where we were going if we wanted to. We didn’t want to know.
More of the train and the hotel.
Well, if they are there...
…they get their picture taken. This one put on a show.
The sign fights with flowers and grass to get its message across.
There were blocks and blocks of scenes like this. There will be more pictures.

Re: Arkansas 2019
Let’s take a stroll through along Branson streets in the early evening.
The warm street hugs you.
Come on in and buy something!
Little surprises around every corner.
But we’re not hungry. Ate too much for dinner.
Places to go… Things to buy...
Yes. Don’t forget about your pet.
More places to buy things.
The colors of the leaves are nice. I went the lazy route: Flipped a copy of the portrait-oriented image and put it on the other side.
The trees afford a pleasant presence.
He’s breaking the fourth wall.
Nearing the end.

Re: Arkansas 2019
We’re still walking around Branson that first day.
Bear-y nice statue.
I wonder if that fish sings, “Take me to the river.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1kfWdGUFZo
You can have any boat you want, if you have the money.
The buds are prettier than the main show.
I didn’t realize my son was in this picture until I cropped it. Can you find him?
These flowers are real beauties.
There is actually a big river beyond the trees. This path promises a view.
This kind of flower always stands out.
I wonder what they are discussing.
It can stop you in your tracks.
Who is ready for dinner?

Re: Arkansas 2019
Visiting Branson in the evening has its advantages.
Clear sailing for this duck!
Dock bridge.
This fish house held fascination for me.
My son pointed out these flowers that actually grow under water! Notice the coins thrown in at the bottom for luck.
Who doesn’t like asters?
Across the river.
Cone flowers hold a certain charm.
Lamppost at dusk.
A different kind of flower, to me, anyway.
Flower within a flower. And a few red pearls.
As we walked on the sidewalk by the river, I heard music and discovered it was coming from lamppost bases.

Re: Arkansas 2019
Here is a zip line, for those who like this sort of thing. I don’t.
Roses in the dark.
Nothing prettier.
You can walk right out there close to the river.
The energetic fountain spurts little bursts of water up into the evening sky.
The river reflects end of day.
People, caught silhouetted on the deck above.
Aww. I always ask permission when I take pictures of pets.
Branson after dark.
Take your pick.
Do you like mushrooms on your pizza? I do.
When I took this picture, I didn’t even notice the little boy. I’m glad he’s there. He provides scale. And cuteness.

Re: Arkansas 2019
“Somebody watches over me."
Better not do anything wrong here!
Just how big?
Trains are beautiful.
How nice to catch this big wall sign!
This is where we ate lunch, hours ago. Now it’s time to go back to the hotel and get some sleep.
It is the next day, 7/30/19, and we are visiting Silver Dollar City, even though our destination is Arkansas.
Even the side of the entrance to the entrance is picture-worthy.
It’s not really that big, of course.
These flowers held some fascination for me.
Had to grab a close-up.
The backlighting adds some charm.
