Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)
Just got a breaking news alert that a worker has fallen from the top floor and died.
I seem to recall something similar happening at Traders a few months ago.

May GOD be with him/her and their family on this most trying day.My favorite verse from Psalms..............'I have set the lord above me, because he is at my right hand, I will NOT be shaken.'

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)
Maybe an explanation will suffice. I am simply praying for the one lost as well as their family. The verse from Psalms brings me strength during hard times. Hardly inappropriate or smug. What would be inappropriate would be to argue a horrible, tragic death. I will post no more on this, therefore Earthling......You have the floor.

I didn't read it as smug, and I'm a heathen atheist. I think you're fine.

Didn't sense any smugness. Not in KCTOGA's comment, anyway.

Does anyone know what happened? I assume osha will have words.
A horrible, horrible accident that needs to be studied. How anyone can be in a position for this to happen is unacceptable.
I assume they've hallted all work?

Sad no matter the cause. He was supposed to be working on 8th floor and they don't know how/why he went to higher floor, hopefully not self inflicted. OSHA said that Dunn had only 4 violations during last 10 years operating in 10 states.

Apparently none of the workers witnessed what happened, at least not identified yet.

I don't want to get into rumors because I heard something similar. I'm going to wait for a report.earthling wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 7:39 pmSad no matter the cause. The support structure for the decorative top is going up. The building is nearly at full height.

Reminds me of the old frontier town buildings with the false front upper floor. Reclaiming KC wild west heritage. To bad you cant see it from the KC Live cowboys.
