KCEB is for KCMO in Jackson County, only. It says it right on the top of the webpage: "Kansas City Board of Election Commissioners / Serving the Voters of Kansas City within Jackson County" That 40k number looks correct, in that case.

Can I ask, in all the sincerity that can be offered by an anonymous internet message board, would you give some examples of her voting against what you’re calling pigouts?johnmatrix wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 4:06 pmNo need to tear eachother down over a mayoral race. Give me a hug ya big lug!

This is no joke.
The city appears to be recognizing that it’s not going to be successful if it doesn’t start planning for the next generation. It’s been stuck in a baby boomer mentality for too long.
By the time the airport is complete in 2023 it will have been 30 years since the first study was underway. That’s so long that the youngest Millennials weren’t born yet when the process begun while the oldest millennials born in 1981 will have grandchildren flying out of the new terminal when it opens.
This crazy long process is what we’re starting to see change for the better.

Biggest missed opportunities: Bunch as 4th-at-large (his goal when Jolie was in re-election mode) or Glynn as 4th-at-large (could not be persuaded). Shields would have had a much harder time with either.

What i thought was most interesting about the numbers is that the Northland just simply did not show up for this election. Why is that?voltopt wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 4:28 pm Platte County shows a total of 5,133 votes in mayoral race. Clay County shows 11,050 votes in the mayoral race. Total is over 56,363 ballots cast.

Because they're realists who don't care to pretend that one career politician is going to have the city's best interests at heart well beyond the other career politicians. All shit options, and the turnout reflects that. It's not rocket science.kboish wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 8:12 pmWhat i thought was most interesting about the numbers is that the Northland just simply did not show up for this election. Correction: They knew the viable candidates had the city/region's best interests in mind (not necessarily what is in the best interest of the Northland).im2kull wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 10:48 pmBecause they're realists who don't care to pretend that one career politician is going to have the city's best interests at heart well beyond the other career politicians.
