Blades? don't remember. I was at a Blades game back in '91? when they stopped the game and announced that the U.S. had invaded Iraq. Got that stub somewhere.grovester wrote:Any special significance to the ticket stubs?Joe Smith wrote:
Royals. Greinke's first start of the year and maybe his first start ever in MLB. Boston's starter was Matsuzaka (Dice K) It was his first start in MLB. Also had to ride the Royals Express back downtown with a whole busload of super smug Bosox fans.
I have a stub for the first and only F1? Grand Prix race through the streets of K.C. along with a stub from the very first Arena League game in K.C. and a bunch of others.
Also have a Chiefs stub for the Bo Jackson baseballs/tennis balls/oranges game, I'm just finally getting around to getting them together.

Funny you mention that Blades game the night of the Iraq invasion, we had tickets, were pre-partying at a bar, decided to stay there once the news came out.

We went to the Royals game the night after that game on the stub. Froze our butts off and listened to people yell at Manny Ramirez. Good times.

A few pics I got at the game the day before yours. Pics aren't the greatest because I only use point and shoot cameras.chaglang wrote:We went to the Royals game the night after that game on the stub. Froze our butts off and listened to people yell at Manny Ramirez. Good times.

Not pictured: Gyroball. Or a pitcher worth a $50m transfer fee.
