your rock. Tomorrow get the same angle shot as the others with those buildings pretty much OUT so we can make a sweet animation of them coming DOWN. :)

I would have got ZERO work done with that view.

Is it just me, or did it seem like the American Formal building really did not want to come down?

Honestly? I think they saved it as kind of a prize. Notice that they left only the front facade standing and worked around to all the other buildings. Then only after all else was done did they go after the front of American Formal Wear. When the last part of the front wall fell, and captured poorly in the final photo, that giant claw grabbed the American Formal Wear canoby/sign and histed it into the air, then crushed it.

The best moment was when the front quarter of AFW was still up, that claw was in back and yanked something.... the remaining roof and all the interior floors caved in wih a roar and sent a huge cloud of dust. My car is caked in powered AFW. :)

I liked them spraying the water to help with the dust a little bit. I have some ground level shots I'll upload soon.

Great pics, scooter. I knew I would miss that! I'm on vacation this week! Oh well, my side view of it wouldn't have been nearly as exciting as your frontal view.

That's funny.... I made one last night of the last 45 minutes or so that I was still able to take pictures. It's not great but it does breathe some life into the last couple dozen photos....
