All I can say is that I am extremely disappointed with the development proposal I am reading for this site. The proposal is for self storage warehouses. Ok, give me a break, retail is what we need, even if that means big-box retail, and there are literally dozens of these self storage places all over KCK already, WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER!!!!!!
10 years from now, that corner is going to be hot property that will have been wasted by another shitty development.

Or maybe it's just a placeholder. Maybe the landowner couldn't find enought retail tenants, so he did storage instead, knowing that he'll make some money now and can easily tear it down for shopping when the time is right. Just a guess.
