Amazingly I had never eated at the flea market until last Friday. Well let me tell you, if you haven't been and you like burgers, you must hit this place.
Some really good grub.

I've eaten there a million times already before I tried to cut back on red meat. Very good eats. The only downside is that they don't take debit or credit cards.
Calling a spade a spade.

Their hamboogies are incredible....but even better are their rendition of the "spicy" chicken sammich......friggin' incredible.
A superb alternative for the red meat boycotters.
I'll be there for lunch on Dec 30th....can't wait.

At the risk of being tagged a blasphemer, I thought the Flea Market's burgers were a little overrated. Not bad...just not as good as the reputation would have you believe.
My choice for best burgers - Max's Autodiner on Wornall ( in the Waldo area ) . Oh, maaaan those are good.

Is it just me or is this place just not that good anymore?

I wouldn't know about the burger, as when I tried to have one Doordashed for lunch some weeks ago, I got someone else's hot dog and jalapeno poppers and chicken sandwich. But those were OK. I mean, what was I gonna do, send it back?

Re: Westport Flea Market
I visited the Flea Market for the first time since the Flea Market was no longer there last year a couple of months before the world was shut down by covid. I think the burgers were as good as ever. My only issue was that the thing that made the Flea Market unique was not so much the burgers (although they are pretty good) but the flea market itself. With that gone, it's just not the cool, unique place it once was. It looks like any other burger joint.

Went there this week for first time in probably ten years. As much as I hate to say this, they are very overrated. Seemed to be mostly full of tourists. I hope they stay since they are local, but Town Topic is way better for a local burger.
