Losing (temporarily) that corner building to self storage is a real shame.

I always thought that corner building would have been a great place for a boutique hotel.

Varsity Club opening by block 15. Food is from a pop up concept called disco burgers. Opening this year and serving food late they say

Disco Burgers is great - been to a few of their pop ups. Glad they’re getting a home baseKCPowercat wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 7:44 am Varsity Club opening by block 15. Food is from a pop up concept called disco burgers. Opening this year and serving food late they say

Block 15 is HOT GARBAGE. Wife and I went in one night to try it out, it smelled like raw sewage in the entire place, they were playing obscenely loud rave music at something like 6:30pm, and the waitress didn’t come over to our table for 15 mins after sitting down. Safe to say we immediately decided that Tribe was a better bet.

time to block off auto traffic from Main to Grand on 5th on summer weekends. Start signing back on Missouri that only parking lot traffic down 5th. Between all the pedestrians and streetcar traffic, it's just too much with the cars. Also no cars north of Missouri on walnut.

Too many people in downtown KC. Isn't that a wonderful problem to have?

Together, this shall be a common problem in the coming years. Let it be so!KCPowercat wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2024 5:00 pm time to block off auto traffic from Main to Grand on 5th on summer weekends.
