Good to see this one starting. And as Lux prepares to start on this, they unveil another project in St. Louis. Good stuff from them. I expect them to do more beyond this (Edison) and Katz in KC as time goes on.

Is this development replacing this low white building between 19th terrace and 20th on Broadway? Hard to figure out exactly where it is.

It's the white buildings, not the Missouri Carriage building.

Demolition well underway. I’m a bit surprised that no overhead protection was provided but at least they kept a wide pedestrian pathway. I guess the 15? foot tall fencing protects

Make a 311 complaint and they'll send out an inspector.

Project renamed from "Edison" to "Wonderland".
Developer description of the property...
Developer description of the property...
Wonderland is going to be one of two of Lux Living’s first properties in Kansas City, MO. The entire 215 unit project will be complete in 2023 but phase 1 will be complete in 2022.
Wonderland is going to change the game of apartment life in KC. Walk through the front doors and be greeted by the double volume lobby with a Bistro. The Wonderland’s +5000sqft fitness center is going to have the best place in the city to workout. After your workout step into the Turkish Hammam Spa to rejuvenate your mind and muscles with the custom Float Pods. If you need to cool off afterwards, then just go to the pool deck with BBQ grills, lounge chairs, cabanas and a hot tub. If it is too cold for the out door pool, head down to the nearly 2000sqft Aqua Lounge with indoor pool. Wonderland will be the first property in KC to feature a basketball court. If hooping isn’t your thing then pop into the Golf Lounge to practice your swing.
When Friday night rolls around, start off in the Barcade. With endless arcade games and Nano doors that open up on nice days, your friends will be glad they got the night started at your place. Later in the evening ride the elevator up to the Night Lounge with self pouring I-Pour-It beer/ wine taps and the best views of KC that you can find.

Are those only resident amenities or open to the public? Seems like a lot for 215 units

Good question that I think a lot of people would like to know the answer to. I imagine they'll be private amenities but that top floor night lounge seems like a component that could be open to the public if they wanted it to be.

Sounds like it’s big enough for it to public otherwise could support double the units.

Edison did not write this. Sounds like a parody and signals the final death blow, sucking every last bit of cool out of the Crossroads.Chris Stritzel wrote: ↑Fri Sep 17, 2021 12:35 am Project renamed from "Edison" to "Wonderland".

All of the Faultless building's walls are down now. Lots of concrete left in that foundation though.

Parcel Viewer shows they properly submitted their plan on 3/2 and implies they will be requesting permits soon. If anyone has the chance to photograph the demolition progress it would be appreciated. In January it looked like it sill had foundation from the basement left.

The entire building is demolished at this point and has been for a few months it seems like. I’ll try to get a picture one of these days
