Very specific. Am talking probability. 12-13 bus lines go down Grand vs 1 bus line that goes down Walnut. Which would you choose. Astoundingly poor choice to choose a bike path for the road that has the most bus lines. How is this even debatable. Suspect if planners even considered bus traffic, a major issue for cyclists.

No, it’s not a poor choice.
There’s 12-13 bus lines worth of riders who need a method to get from the bus to their final destination. The system should cut stops to speed up service. We should expect some people to get off the bus and ride to their destination. The bus can’t carry enough bikes so moving towards a system where the bus pass covers a rental ebike for the last few blocks would be smarter than trying to provide bus service to all of downtown.
The next stage should be adding connecting lanes into Grand and put lanes on a perpindicular street

Any good transit system needs a mix of options. Local with many stops and express with fewer (MAX and Streecar). Walnut AND Grand should be bike friendly.

I would probably prefer to share the road with professional and definitely insured bus drivers than random citizens who may or may not be drunk, insured, high, texting, etc.

Am in NYC at the moment. My younger brother uses Citi Bike daily (annual pass holder) and at times hits one of the top 10 ridership in all of NY - and has had bike/vehicle accidents. He also agreed that putting a bike lane on a road with 12+ bus lines is ridiculous unless entirely protected, which Grand isn't. Is rather amusing to hear some here defend it.
