Nothing is happening there yet as far as I know. I heard some crazy unknowns with that building this weekend but don't want to pass along rumors that could very well be wrong.

Re: Muehlebach Hotel / KC Club Project
Biz Journal article about Platform Ventures mentions this office building is 150k sf and a 400 space garage. So that's slightly more than double the original 70k sf.Critical_Mass wrote: ↑Fri Dec 28, 2018 2:01 pm I've heard that Hoefer Wysocki only did a study for this project (which produced the renderings we've been looking at) and that another well known local architecture firm is part of the project team. So I expect the actual project to look somewhat different.
I'm not sure if the HW renderings were for a 70k sf or 100k sf project, but I was told by someone on the project team that the project 'has always been 100k sf' since at least they were brought on.

I do know that Hoefer Wysocki is back on as the architect. They appear to be looking for new digs and what architect doesn't want to design their own home?

Any idea roughly how many stories the building is now?

I was told 7 but I think that might have been referring to when it was 100k sf.

Isn't this the second time the Clubhouse Lofts have been renovated in 16 years?

Yup.
So the second phase with the mulebach is going to create some real operational challenges with the Marriott complex in many ways. The biggest is they are losing their biggest kitchen which is within the bowels of the building that they are losing access.

The last we heard it was going through a redesign because it's getting more square footage.

A new plan for the office portion has been submitted on Compass. It does look like it has grown. It is now 140k sq feet of office space. Looks like 7 (maybe 8 ) floors of offices instead of the original proposal of 4.

Here is the original rendering. Looks like it could retain a similar look, minus the angles

It is interesting to note that these drawings are referred to as the "short site"

The plans refer to this project as a 12-story building.
