Make KC better for walkers: Walk KC meeting info

If you're interested in improving conditions for walking in KC, join us at the next Walk KC meeting!

Monday, September 20 at 7 p.m.
Room 312 (third floor) of the new Central Library downtown

Walk KC is a grassroots pedestrian advocacy group. We'll post an agenda on the group's web site ( http://www.walkkc.org/ ) as it gets closer to the meeting date.

At the last meeting (which was a while ago), we talked about possible issues the group could work on. This will be one of our agenda items this month. You can look at the list here:

cobbelstone in the intersections on the plaza!!! Add charm and make drivers slow down and look for pedestrians! It works, i've seen it done.

what a good cause

cobbel stone is nice...but i don't really know if it would match the rest of the plaza...maybe brick? cobbel stone would look too fake because it was never used down there (or in KC?)

1. Meeting days/times/locations
2. KCMO zoning ordinance changes
3. Joining America Walks
4. Possible public comment opportunities
5. Prioritize list of possible group actions and decide next steps
