Kansas City Kansas Community College exorcised a lot of ghosts from the past with a rare sweep of Johnson County Wednesday night.

With the Lady Blue Devils avenging an earlier 70-64 setback with a 61-56 triumph and the men completing a season's sweep with an 89-77 win, KCKCC put an end to the following droughts:

-- The win ended a string of eight straight losses to the Lady Cavaliers' women's team dating back to Jan. 19, 2000;

-- The men's win gave KCKCC its first season sweep since the 1993 season;

-- The sweep was the first by Blue Devil teams since Jan. 6, 1999.

I just thought of it, but there is only one community college in JoCo.
