You don't hear much about the commercial redevelopers...who are they and what have they done?

Added density to that underused real estate in a public/private partnership.

Hooray for that.  Unfortunately, the guy is a slum lord who steals from tenants.

I will be serving him notice on a small claim soon.

what business?  soul-crushing beige stripmall development and needless downtown-bashing in the media?

KS Thane-  If he owes you money you should certainly get it.  If we're looking for completely honest and trustworthy redevelopers that narrows the field a bit.  :P :P

Real indeed.
We all know that anything with a "KS" in it is either fake or stolen from Missouri.

i don't know they merits of his lawsuit or the man's business practices, but isn't it possible that he screws people over sometimes, even if he does a "shitload" for downtown redevelopment?

^ Exactly.  I don't think it is possible for someone to be heavily involved in the real estate industry without someone thinking you are an asshole somewhere along the line.  There is just too much potential for conflict for everyone to come out happy in every transaction no matter how good the intentions.

I didn't call him an asshole.  I'm glad that he's doing things for redevelopment in KC.  However, the guy has an apartment complex near the Plaza that is infested with mold and he's not doing anything to take care of it.  I will file my small claim and either win or lose.
