is that sculpture in the third picture new? and if so, did the funding come from all the development surrounding it?

The public art thing is very intersting.  We have loads of stuff here. I love to see what other cities do.

The Nelson is considered to be one of the premier outdoor modern sculpture exhibits in the country, one of the man reasons for Hotls minimalist design of the Bloch building. Add that to the huge amount of original classic sculpture on the plaza and our copious amounts of fountains I think we are doing pretty well. In fact, I don't think I've ever been to a city that has as much outdoor art as KC. But I've never been to Europe, Asia or Africa.

That being said, more outdoor art is always a good thing.
