That would be Pat Gray's company.

FUD is a very effective tool for controlling the masses. Just ask Microsoft.

In this case, the "competing product" looks to be, "no more money for Hunt and Glass."

NorthStar is the Pat Gray/Steve Glorioso outfit that runs most of the campaigns here.  They ran the failed Bistate II campaign, but usually have close to a 100% success rate.  This is the company that came up with the brilliantly devious anti-St. Louis campaign for the arena.  The principals are close advisors to Mayor Barnes.

They'll probably just say I hate Kansas City and want the teams to leave.

These are the same folks who were accused of "photoshop morphing" Becky Nace & Jim Glover on strategically dropped mail pieces in the last Council election. Made em look like they were mongloids or something. Capable of some of the most dispicable campaign acts known to modern campaigning. They oft will do a massive direct mail drop the Saturday prior to election day so their smear piece hits mailboxes on Monday or Tuesday. Hence no time for opponent to respond.

They can play clean or they can play dirty. Often, ya don't know which Pat Gray came to the table but its a pretty safe bet if he's in the room, nobody's leavin clean and ya better bring band-aids!

Isn't Glorioso a paid City Hall staffer now - doing something in Kay's office. (don't go there - its a visual none of us need )

Who is doing the anti-tax campaign?

Brilliant!!! Save Our Owners, I love it!

Poor David Glass. He only made a few million dollars last season as the owner of the Royals. It is barely enough to keep up with the other billionaire owners of Major League Baseball.

And there's poor Lamar Hunt. He only made $20 million as the owner of the Chiefs, far less than richer billionaire owners on the East Coast.

But there is hope. Together, we Kansas Citians can come together to donate money to these destitute franchises. For the price of one steak dinner per day, you can help the Royals and Chiefs be "competitive" in today's sports market. Help put a smile back on David and Lamar's face. Contribute to www.saveourowners.com and let's make sports owner poverty a thing of the past.

Jackson County Taxpayers Association is one of the groups that will be against it, but they won't be very well funded.  It's not likely that the "no" campaign will be anywhere near as big as the yes campaign.

Even people who are well-funded still make terrible websites.

i emailed saveourstadiums.com to ask about when will better renderings of what is going to be done to the 2 stadiums, they told me when the website gets finished, REAL soon, they will be available, and if you email them, they will send you signage for your yard or window.

I just drove down Ward Parkway.  There's about 15 of these signs stuck in houses near Meyer Circle.  Thanks, Lenny!

too little too late, maybe. if this thing fails, which, it is 50-50 at best, it will be the dumbass county's fault for waiting til 6 weeks out to mount any sort of futile effort to pass it

They have money. They're just treating this like big focus group. If it passes - great for them. If not, they'll have a real go at it in November. Market the thing hard for 6 weeks and see where you stand.

NorthStar's campaign sites are always a similar, mediocre design.  For all the money and power they have, their online component is usually pretty lame.
