Damn, not sure why they'd close down if they were just getting spoon fed all those customers directly from the streetcar! lol

We all rely on antidotal information far too much. It was never busy when I went but I'm not going to make unverifiable claims that what I experienced was the normal.

Plowboys likely had other issues since they shut down their suburban location as well.

never felt popping for dinner and it wasn't a very inviting street presence
This was my experience as well, wife and I went a couple times for dinner pre COVID and I think we were one of maybe 5-6 tables at 6:00pm. Lunch doesn’t keep a business going alone, gotta have dinner as well.

IIRC, Plowboys owners retired, hence the closures of all (both?) stores.

Yeah they retired. Dinner never looked busy but lunch was packed.

Having a streetcar unload in front of your business is definitely a positive to a restaurant, that's ridiculous to hint that it wouldnt be. That location has tons of positives it's shocking to hear someone call it a garbage location

Sure it’s a positive but the idea that every time it stops 20 people went from street car to plow boys isn’t realistic.

I think it’s a garbage location but that’s my opinion. I’m not asking it be posted on the window. “For lease, garbage location but excellent proximity to Streetcar stop thus guaranteeing customers!”

I personally feel the exterior look and feel of a restaurant is very high on the list of what makes for great locations. Look at Picklemans just down the road. Great corner location that begs you to come in. It has that big city, locally owned deli vibe.

It’s all just a matter of opinion, don’t get caught up on mine.

No because it’s clearly a restaurant and has an exterior patio. It’s not at the base of a 1980’s style big corporate looking skyscraper. There’s more to what makes for a great location than the fuckin GPS coordinates.

Another attempt at PNL Vs non-PNL. But tell
Me what the better location is.

Lol. Ok. Never mind, both are amazing locations. A operator would have a difficult time choosing between the two. Basically identical.

I'm just trying to understand why it's labeled garbage location when 2 blocks away the same setup is a great location?

I’m just trying to figure out why you care about my opinion so much?

Did I say BRGR is a great location? You brought it up. I think it’s a better location and I’m guessing restaurant operators agree. The rent likely also reflects this.

I value your opinion and it just seemed so odd to call plowboys a garbage location. I could see if they didn't have an outdoor entrance but it does. Seems to have every advantage of a restaurant/bar location could have downtown. Even moreso than even brgr with it's closer proximity to more hotel rooms and office tenants

These were gone this morning. It took a few weeks for drivers to figure it out, I’m sure there’s growing pains on the KCPLD operations side too. Especially on a holiday.

A cyclist was injured over the weekend as these were placed there with legally parked cars- and while they should've taken the driving lane, they mistook the available distance and ended up going over the handlebars after coming into contact with the barriers.

So this happening week 1 after the repainting- sure. But this has been more than enough time to fix this shit.

I mean they're also blocking a fire hydrant. Doesn't take that much of a learning curve to not put shit in front of a fire hydrant I'd hope.🤷‍♂️

They're also empty and can be moved by a toddler when stored like above.
