Where do you run to get a gallon of milk?

Just seeing what everybody else does in this situation....for those of us living downtown, it's not the easiest thing to do yet.

Simple where I live. Walk for thirty seconds up the street to the Westport Rd QuikTrip. They have milk, and all you have to do is tell the various and sundry assortment of panhandlers to shove their little paper cups up their asses on the way in and out.

EDIT: but I hate milk, so I don't know how often the above-described situation would actually happen...with milk anyway.

Either the Osco in NKC or, if I'm feeling particularly lazy, the Valero (formerly Total) at the northern foot of the Heart of America Bridge  (10th & Burlington).

Chinatown is open "late" by River Market standards, at least 8pm pretty much every day, so that's also an option if you discover you're out of milk a little earlier in the evening.  (Yes, they carry normal American milk. :) )

It's pay-at-the-pump 24 hours but I think the c-store closes.

yeah, but i think that convienence store at the bottom of the 12th street bridge at least has extended hours, i thought 24 hours, because i have been there at like midnight before, so, perhaps 6am-12am or something?

they did open another gas station in the bottoms as well....that might be a good choice.

When buying staples like milk, bread, etc. I usually head to QT...if it's food, I don't trust just anybody that carries the product.

Probably Linwood Superfoods. Maybe Night of the Living Applemarket on Broadway.
