Joe Merriwether offered a bribe to come out against arena

Called him first to do it for free, he said no, but they called back and offered him money to come out against it. He feels it was a bribe. What a mess!

yeah, I saw they positively IDed the phone # back to the anti-arena camp. It was nice that Mr. Merriwether stated he was for the arena.

I missed the very beginning of the segment, but I think he is some local former NBA player. I may be wrong on this, I don't really follow basketball...

I believe he played for the KC Kings, and now coaches a lady's team at Park University.
