I'd think there'd be MORE demand at lunch. Don't they know there are tens of thousands of hungry workers milling about at noon?MightyKC wrote: I tried to go over for Lunch today but they don't open until 4pm right now. They said that they are trying to judge the demand right now but that they will probably open for lunch next week. If they do start opening for lunch, I wouldn't be surprised if they add a happy hour as well.

I don't think I have ever seen anyone react to the opening of a mobile phone store with such excitement.DaveKCMO wrote: sprint studio is open!!!!!
Was there already a line of people inside trying to straighten out their customer support hassles?

So what's the store like? Typical Sprint store or something worth checking out?

it's way above par for a sprint store. it's cavernous and they have these cool tables (like Microsoft Table, but proprietary) where you can browse content. must be seen to be believed. there was a huge staff, so they must be expecting crowds?WoodDraw wrote: So what's the store like? Must say I'm excited about this place. Almost sounds like an Apple Store.DaveKCMO wrote: it's way above par for a sprint store. it's cavernous and they have these cool tables (like Microsoft Table, but proprietary) where you can browse content. must be seen to be believed. there was a huge staff, so they must be expecting crowds?

well, not now... but when they first opened in 2001 they were (stark/uncluttered design used worldwide, decentralized purchasing, genius bar). this is the first sprint studio, hence my comparison.kuslamb wrote:I have never thought of Apple stores as memorable?
also, people weren't lined up outside the sprint studio on opening day.

SO what is up with the mural on this block? the other one was finished but only 10% of this one has been touched and most of it is just white paint for the base.

Weather delayed it a bunch. Then the artist had some personal delays. He was back yesterday and is working today. Hopefully, it will get going again fast.

I was hoping you were going to say that they put the brakes on it because they decided the time was ripe to go ahead and start building that condo tower on the south half of the block. A guy can dream.KCTigerFan wrote: Weather delayed it a bunch. Then the artist had some personal delays. He was back yesterday and is working today. Hopefully, it will get going again fast.
