Re: Union Station....
Unsure if this is the official thread or not, but couldn’t find anything with ‘official’ tag connected. Noticed the information booth on the western side of the grand hall has been removed. Unsure if this is permanent or not, but they have the area roped off (see below). Anyone have any info?

How do KCMO folks feel about Union Station going purple for Kstate men's basketball making it to the Sweet 16?

The state of Missouri has over 11,000 K-State alumni, with a majority of them, I’m assuming, calling the KCMO area home. They’re still a hometown team, and the only one left in the tournament.trailerkid wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 1:38 am How do KCMO folks feel about Union Station going purple for Kstate men's basketball making it to the Sweet 16?

I'm a KU alum and am happy for the purple lighting. Union Station is only around today because of the Bi-State Tax approved by Johnson County so it makes complete sense to me.

It was beautiful. Fun game to be at in MSG too (not so much the E8 one). Nice run for year 1.trailerkid wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 1:38 am How do KCMO folks feel about Union Station going purple for Kstate men's basketball making it to the Sweet 16?

Are the "Kansas City" signs on top of the port cocheres left over from the draft going to be kept in place?

No. Those are coming down at some point. I think as soon as this week.

Main Street opened yesterday.
They kept Pershing closed for a while longer, but it's open now too.

Also, those awesome "KANSAS CITY" signs, which I assume are coming down sometime within the next few days, now say "KANSA... S CITY".

Re: Union Station....
KANSA...S CITY signs repositioned correctly to KANSAS CITY now and moved back in position to the front. Why would someone bother if they are going to take them away? Maybe they stay? All the standard skyline photos taken now would be branded?

Re: Union Station....
Union Station will often put different signs or displays there through out the year. They may stay a little longer, but I can't imagine they'd be permanently placed there.

Were the Spider-Man banners not for the new movie that came out? I admittedly didn’t pay a ton of attention but I thought they where just to advertise the new film.
