Re: Cost of Living
As one of an elderly couple living on a fixed income, I can attest to this. Thanks for posting this. Nice to know it wasn't my imagination. I'd say that I can understand how old people wind up eating canned cat food, but the price of cat food is sky high, too.
Re: Cost of Living
For those near Waldo, the Aldi store at 75th & Wornall is still a relative bargain, particularly compared to the Kansas-side retailers. You do need to look carefully at the produce, as Aldi seems to sell more bruised fruit and vegetables than others, but the prices are often half the cost.

And why is Arlington, TX so much lower than Fort Worth and Dallas?

Re: Cost of Living
I was puzzled by that as well.
Re: Cost of Living
It's a shame seeing this degree of inflation wrecking havoc in the US. Wild.
Re: Cost of Living
Actually, for their sample basket, KC is below the national average. Not so bad.
Re: Cost of Living
Actually, for their sample basket, KC was below the national average - KC $25.54 vs national average $26.20 - even after a higher than average rate of increase.
