*Not Price Brothers, Price Management. Different company. They’re the same group doing West Plaza Flats and are in controversy at 31st and Main.

Side note, the West Plaza Flats frontage on Belleview looks really shitty.

Yeah, both of the separate Price entities are jokes at best. I cannot think of one quality project they have done in the city.

There is some pretty heavy demo work going on at the Southeast corner of 49th and Main the building appears to be gutted out and builds to east have been torn down...Is that all part of this project?

^ VanTrust has some conceptual renderings for an office building there: https://vantrustrealestate.com/property/4901-main/
Not sure if that is still the plan. Maybe a CompassKC ninja here can find a development plan?

^This looks to be the old US Bank building, 4901 Main. They've recently started tearing the hideous metal cladding off that they put up several years ago and are removing the parking garage now. From the rendering, it looks like they will be adding another level on top with outdoor space and removing the concrete siding (what they should have done with the last remodel) to bring in more light.

Permits show a complete building demolition for both the old US Bank building and the Regency Apartments east of that.

Ok, thanks for looking that up. A bit confusing because the layout of the building is similar to what is there now. But, current building is only four stories vs. the shown six. Looks like a nice project. I wonder if you'll start to see more buildings like this move south taking up the small apartment buildings and homes that are there now for UMKC students.

Here's a first look at the plans. They come from a document uploaded to Compass.

The first two renderings are from Walnut and the third rendering is from Grand.

I was thinking the same thing. It's funny how certain materials and colors are associated with certain places. You can tell a home from Springfield just by looking at the brick color and texture.

Years ago, I encountered a young woman from Hawaii in downtown Kansas City. I asked her if she was enjoying her visit. She said that she really loved all the red brick and stone used in the buildings and houses. She said they didn't have those where she had grown up in Hawaii.

Don’t think I saw a timeline mentioned in this. Do you think he’ll wait until the streetcar is running and the van trust building is done?
