Parkside at Hobbyhill Apartments Gladstone

Post by alejandro46 »

220 Unit Apartment Complex located off N Oak and NE 76th St.

Cardinal Crest Homes is General Contractor. They have been building a number of large homes up in Shoal Creek area, but also doing Blume Shawnee live-work.

interesting, must be going in behind the Aldi's or in that general area. Would love to see some kind of road connecting N.Oak to N. Broadway eventually in that area. I recall several years ago Gladstone had a big master plan that looked to create a major artery road that came over from 169 Highway and went over to N. Oak just east of the entrance to "downtown" Gladstone. I think they wanted to create that to have a mix of commercial, retail and surrounding residential, as a route like that would cut through existing neighborhoods and or neighborhoods that backed up to wooded lots. Gladstone has done some nice things around it's down town area, especially considering it is just a bedroom community for the most part

The Blume Shawnee project is pretty trippy with the units right up on the sidewalk. Really stands out in the midst of all the strip malls.

Correct, I don't know exactly but I believe it's still moving forward. 2024 date estimated in this MARC file. This route will be a good connector between 169 and downtown Gladstone as it adds density in the future.

Thanks gif posting, glad to see it is still being pursued & perhaps will be a viable project. It would do a lot to open up Gladstone for sure

Here is a rendering. It's the L shaped lot surrounding the giant parking lot/Christian Brothers Roofing building, across from 75th St.
