Another Migration

Sorry for this morning's short outage(about 20m). I had to update the forum software. One little hitch about a newly-required php module delayed it from 10 minutes to 20, but we're back up now, and all updated. I wanted to get that done before the next big move: migrating the forum to a new host.
First off: there's no problem. The VPS we're using is just getting a little old, so I spun up a new one on digitalocean, where we already are, and have been migrating other sites I manage from this host to that one. One positive for migration as well is that for the same price a new VPS gets higher transfer limits, more storage, more muscle, and higher speed.
I still need to figure out some business with mod_rewrite(I would really like to switch to nginx, but that's for another day), but we should be migrated before the week is out. The plan, for the technically-inclined, will be:
1) configure the new host(kajar) as much as possible
2) turn off apache on the old host(humming)
3) take one last backup of the forum's files and database on humming, copy them to kajar, and extract
4) enable the site on apache on kajar
5) switch the DNS to point to the new host
6) receive varying reports of success and failure, as the DNS monkeys propagate the IP change across the internets
7) resume kcrag enjoyment
I estimate the outage for the site will last about 15 minutes to 12 hours, depending on your DNS provider. Set yours to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 for best performance.
Thank you in advance for your patience.
