Lane miles vs. route miles vs “number of streets” can vary in # quantity greatly. I do think lane miles is the best way to report this stat. Sounds like we almost hit the 400 lane mile goal the CM tweeted about.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Northland City Councilmember Teresa Loar has not talked to either City Manager Brian Platt or former communications director Chris Hernandez since a lawsuit against the city became public.
“I just think it’s kind of maybe a disgruntled employee,” Loar told FOX4 Friday.

“I just think it’s kind of maybe a disgruntled employee,” Loar told FOX4 Friday.
“I think he’s doing the best he can with the hand he’s dealt,” Loar said of the job Platt’s doing. “There were some bumps, but nothing that probably didn’t work out some way or another, and I’m not sitting here defending him. I’m just saying he’s got a tough job.”

PR note: "disgruntled employee" is a boilerplate response to any whistleblower or wronged employee complaint or lawsuit. It's a meaningless term meant to cast aspersions on anyone who dares to file a complaint against anyone or any place with more power.
Example. Rosa Parks would have been called a disgruntled bus rider. Doesn't make her wrong though.

Jfc. Once again, going after Brian Platt for shit.
“ #Breaking Council Member Katheryn Shields says she will be bringing forth a motion to have City Manager and any staff members involved in a much debated police radio deal disciplined. Loar says will co-sponsor. Dispute involved $7 million after deal was approved last week.”
Why is it everyone’s goal to antagonize this guy

What happened with the police radios?
I mean I like Platt’s focus on development and the solar farm at the airport, but was there a misappropriation of $7 million?

I too am intrigued, none of these claims have been substantiated yet, I’m still waiting on the Hernandez one to get more info out.

Because most people aren't like this board of 10 people who are willing to overlook everything just to build cheap apartments
It’s not like we’re looking past his flaws of stabbing someone in the neck in public, we’re simply saying it’s alright to be skeptical until actual proof of any of these accusations comes to fruition…

Long Live King Car (as far as it reads to me)!
Sponsor: Councilmember Teresa Loar Amending Ordinance No. 200550 by repealing Section A.1 and enacting a new section A.1 to require the completion of all public improvements recommended by the traffic impact study before a final Certificate of Occupancy is issued for the KC Current Stadium.

The need for a TIS in areas where 0 parking is required is a bit absurd to me. Feels pretty contradictory.

Heard it first from Henry Rizzo, but “anti-bike lanes” is most certainly a campaign platform now. At least three candidates have spoken up against the Truman Road bike lanes at the meeting tonight

The other thing lost on me about bike lanes is how residents and business owners have no sense that there might ALSO be children riding bikes in those lanes, and that children are often biking in the streets -- perhaps going to school.
And politicians/office seekers.
