Is that where the downtown CID houses vehicles and equipment?

Collison's article may have been updated. It says 76 units.
Also 2500 SF of commercial space in that SW corner.
3 level, 95 space garage (one level underground).
No tax incentives.

That's what I assumed when reading the vehicle. It used to be the home of Atlas Cab before that, so maybe that's the name?

Starting construction?

9 months is more than enough time for that

I saw that pic and wondered where the Hampton Inn sign was hiding!

I absolutely want this to have a rooftop sign. I love driving south on Broadway bridge and seeing all of the billboards. It makes you feel like you are in a big city. Imagine a billboard or iconic “KC” or even just apartment sign. Something to add to the signage in the area.

Would love some more signage & lights on buildings for sure. Would a rooftop sign be allowed? I know FAA has weird rules around the airport & flight paths

With all of the other signs in the area... would it even matter? Of course, this is a taller point but I doubt it would interfere with anything at the Downtown airport.

A rooftop sign would below the current bridge height and or inline with the other signs in that area.

Back in the late sixties when Municipal Airport was THE airport and families sat out on evenings in Case park to watch jets take off, there was a very large neon sign on the rooftop at 5th and Broadway. It would flash from "Trader's Bank" to "Welcome to Kansas City"(may have been Welcome to KC), foggy childhood memory. I am sure there must be photos of it somewhere.

Looks like it had about as much of a ground floor as you could possibly fit on such a small site and do parking. I’m just happy that this looks nothing like RM West 1

If you don't like floating buildings without first floors and living in the future I don't know what to tell you.
