OFFICIAL - Wallstreet Tower (formerly US Bank Tower)

Post by WSPanic »

This looks like a pretty cool idea. Based on my experience out South, the food is average quality and overpriced. Hopefully this will just be overpriced. Not sure what the prices for simulators like these vs. being able to hit at the full-size TGs. But, if my friends and I can go play a quick round at Augusta for a good price, it would be pretty fun.

These are just branded by topgolf they don't have any association with the food or venue.

Don't know if they'll make the planned opening date but the landscaping is done and the seating/tables are about ready to position.

The condo org needs to relocate their security desk...the backside up against the glass is not a pretty sight. Now it's on prime display with this new public courtyard

There appears to be some sort of soft event going on tonight - valets are standing around outside, patio furniture is out, and boxes of booze were being broken up inside.

I went by to check it out- here's a few questions.

1) How is the Valet allowed to use the bus stop area? I guess they could switch to 11th when the construction equipment is gone, but it was harsh on those waiting at the bus stop.

2) Who keeps granting permits for these places to park cars on the sidewalks?! I get it, the owner has a McLaren... Cool? Now go park it in the parking lot off to the side, not directly in the walking path and quit defacing the beautiful car with your business logo.

IIRC, this is being done without a permit.

Correct. Absolutely no one is getting a permit that doesn’t exist.

The only examples I can think of was a marketing approval to place a car on the sidewalk. They weren’t parking there in terms of daily use.

Passed by yesterday. They have added a blade sign to the corner column. While I do like blade signs, this one look particularly stupid. The inability to hide the conduit doesn't help. Blade signs look pre-modern era to me. This building is very modernist. Looks odd.

It's OK relative to rest of building, at least it's not a white sign.

That sign should be 5x that size.

My sarcasm radar not working today but the pic above is from other end of building. It's actually a pretty big sign.

I went for dinner last night. The food is very good, and I had a chance to sample the chef’s menu at his home a few months prior and was excited just for that (rather than the sports crap).

That said, they’ve done an amazing job using that difficult space. Should be a hit with corporate rentals.

I stopped in this weekend just for a quick drink to check the place out. It's a nice space so I hope it works out. One thing that's kind of cool is that the courtyard (which is covered by the liquor license) is smoke-free too. If you want to smoke, you have to go up the stairs to the sidewalk.

It looks like the Clubhouse Experience is another Covid casualty. Can anyone confirm? It was only open for what, two months?
