Haven't ever noticed this relief before. One of my favorite modern buildings downtown. Thanks for the pics!

Downtown has always had some stunning architecture. I just wish more people would take their eye's off their freaking cell phones and study and appreciate it more.

Apologies if you've already answered, but what do you shoot with?

Nice, congrats. I knew that photo of the P&L torch wasn’t taken with a phone!TheLastGentleman wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2020 6:56 pmFor a while now I’ve been using a Canon Rebel T5i but recently got a Rebel SL3 with a telephoto lens. Been enjoying it so far

Gentleman: Exactly where were you standing when you took that shot of the KCPL lantern? More detail is observable than when one is standing on the parapet directly below. Notice how the chamfer corners are similar to One KC Place. Who nowadays would put seven floors of very expensive decorative flourish on the roof of a building? Almost wish there was a duplicate standing on the ground so the detail could be appreciated. The sun and rays in the glass are suspiciously similar to Egyptian Atonist symbols.

Re: TheLastGentleman Goes Downtown
I was standing on Wyandotte by the convention hotel, looking northeast. The same place many of my WR pictures are from. I've read that the lantern stands about 95ft tall, which is the same height of the ceiling in Union Station, to give some sense of scalemoderne wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 2:41 pm Gentleman: Exactly where were you standing when you took that shot of the KCPL lantern? Love the shots looking south from River Market. The change in angle of the street grid adds such interest.
