This time. May 1.
Yup. Gonna get it right. It's a big project, even with the reduced frequencies.

The anticipation is killing us!!!!!!

But on a serious note, glad y'all are taking the time to work things out.

Essentially RideKC Next is a network design with focus on a fast and frequent grid within KCMO and orients service within KCMO where service is utilized and needed most.

It was originally supposed to happen in 2020, but.....COVID.

It's a good change, granted KCK and the Northland still aren't amazing, but until they put more money forward, it won't improve.

That, and Johnson County is expanding service with a pilot project. Finally will have all-day service and Saturday service.

2022 and metro KC still does not have a regional funding mechanism for transit. Even on just the MO side.

It's sad but hopefully this "OneRideKC" project can actually move us towards that.

I've noticed that the July changes for RideKC Next are gone from the website, wonder why.

Wish I could give you the inside info but I resigned in April. Hope they get around to it. Solid planning work, lots of outreach.

The other day I noticed max stops added to the south KC extension. No idea how long they have been there

It's like the #12 bus stops in Downtown KCK or the #35 stops along 39th Street, been there for going on a year, yet the changes haven't happened.

I reached out to the email metro@kcata.org, hadn't gotten a response. Would be a serious shame if the plan isn't implemented, or rather, was only partially implemented.

Agreed. It's my biggest regret that we couldn't get it completed before my departure.

What are the odds that the changes don't happen at all, considering that almost all evidence of it has been whiped from the RideKC and KCATA website?

Unrelated to RideKC Next, but what is the best way to go about transit advocacy? I had worked a bit with Transit Action Network back in the day and was interested in getting advocacy like that started again. Unfortunately, being a planner with a city doesn't afford many opportunities to really set time aside to advocate for transit specifically.

I noticed today when driving along Wornall that the Main Max stops had been pulled and reverted to #57 stops. Seems to suggest that if any changes are implemented, it'll be smaller changes. Curious.
