Would be nice if this ended up using a crane.

Not much of an update, but they’ve finished the southern retaining wall, and are looking to be nearing completion of the western side as well.

Interesting aside....the posts piled up in the foreground were originally in the ground. Maybe a set of wood piles to fill a sinkhole when they first put down the train tracks over 100 years ago?

Didn’t a creek used to run through this site prior to US construction?

Yes! OK Creek, which now runs under the underground level of Union Station’s front plaza

Tower crane application to the FAA made on March 11th. 225ft crane height according to the application. Seems excessive unless a second crane is involved.

Developer told me they're working on the ground water issue you see these pics, so that's why there isn't much activity on site at the moment.

Is this the project referred to here?

https://twitter.com/KCBJ_Thomas/status/ ... 4674378754
Milhaus’ Crossroads apartment complex, which has undergone site work for the last few months, has a new name — Via (or “traveling through a place en route to a destination”). Branding is meant to evoke area’s historic trains and mobile nature of downtown urbanites, per developer.

That crane has been there. The tower crane has yet to go up.
