I had to emergency rent a car from there last weekend, first I'd been up to MCI since covid. I don't know why I was so surprised at how big the garage was, but dayumn. That thing is huge. Kinda narrow though.

^Hmm, the unfinished parts look better than the planks.

You're nuts. The finished ceiling looks great. I just noticed they painted the fire sprinkler system to match and are running them inside recessed tracks like the light fixtures so everything is flush with the ceiling panels. What a nice detail.

Not a fan of flooring for ceiling I guess, but it's no where near as distasteful as an intentional 100+ year mistake planned for the MCW (Monotonous Cordish Wall) for the purpose of being 'on brand'. <heavy winks>

The raw ceiling behind the "flooring" looks pretty good though. Better methinks.

A corrugated metal ceiling in the main space of a new airport would certainly match the “cowtown” reputation….not sure that’s what we should be showing the world, though

A barn wooden plank ceiling apparently? Brooklyn loaded with the raw ceiling look, not sure how that corresponds to cow townish. This is one of the better raw ceilings that I've seen and they're covering it up with awkward flooring that is typically seen in a barn.

Give me one example of a barn with a cladding system like this

Pretty much all wooden barns have a wooden ceiling...

The raw ceiling looks really great, sad to see it covered with "flooring".

Not sure how this is a surprise. Wood ceilings have been announced back in 2018.

Sorry, but I'm getting really tired of exposed ceilings showing the "internal building engineering" -- meaning exposed, unpainted concrete, steel beams, wire bundling, ducts, and pipes. It just looks to me like the owner/developer was too cheap to spring for finishing. It's okay in old, converted warehouse buildings that were built industrial and meant to be basic. It's just an affectation in new buildings.

Earthing, if those wood planks bother you, you'd be in living hell in Scandinavian countries.

^Yeah I wouldn't specifically target exposed ceilings but as they go, this one works fine. The disorienting flooring as a ceiling not so much. And yeah have seen it elsewhere, it just ain't right haha.

The exposed ceiling looks like any other exposed ceiling that was not meant to look nice.

looks like this in person (sample photo)

I just don't know about those planks... they seems too narrow.
