The lunch vibe is fine. Maybe they can pull off being both food and "club"? Most cannot.

Not sure. It basically becomes loud(er) music and well-dressed youths carrying on but not really buying food.

can confirm, basically this. more noise more people and not a proportional increase in buying (food, at least).

i always sit upstairs. vildehast gets by far the smallest amount of traffic of the places up there. clucker gets the most. not sure how either compare to the downstairs options.

This "club" is one of couple places modern DJ culture is actually happening in KC now – something completely missing to this point. Sorry they're not buying much food at 10:30p, but it's a good look for our scene.

But I can't hear my wife while enjoying Providence Pizza. Dammit Specht!

I was there Saturday. Busy. Great mix of crowds enjoying their foods and drinks. No club. I did leave around 10pm though so maybe too early?

Oh and I had the Detroit style pizza. Holy crap.

The whole time I didn't see 3 people go to the Swedish place. I was sad for them.

I am bummed about Vildehast--the food was very good. Alas.

Truth be told I am being a little hyperbolic about the "clurb" atmosphere at Parlor. We were in there about 7pm a couple of Saturdays ago and just noticed that everyone around us was dressed to the going out nines. We were not. We had also just arrived off a 17 hour travel day...so maybe it was us. 8-[

I did notice that people were way more well dressed than I assumed. We picked it specifically to have a low key Saturday dinner with friends, seems others picked it to be at a "nice" place for Saturday night dinner.

Other thing that struck me for a Saturday night is almost everybody else not dressed up were families with younger kids.

Who really wants to pay 9 bucks for a somewhat fancy hot dog then another 5 bucks for chips or fries and you still are leaving hungry after you just dropped 15/16 bucks? I honestly don't think that kind of place would survive at Food Halls in NYC, Chicago, Portland.

I'd rather have 3 Costco Hot Dogs and a bunch of money leftover

Vildehast and Krokstrom are very good, too bad they can't find a more cost effective way to continue. I'd go more often if priced right but otherwise a once a year thing. Tasty and unique but just not quite worth the price.

Yeah too expensive and feels like they could have capitalized off the first time they ran the save the business campaign but here we are a little more than 2 months from that and they are doing it again. Seems kind of like an annoyance at this point.

This thread got me interested in checking out Parlor. Went after 10 on a Satruday and this place is great! Don't know what the hell they mean it has a club vibe after 10. just seemed like an upscale happening bar with hip hop music. That must have been their attempt at veiled racism.

I went Saturday night but was gone well before 10. The opinion from my group was that the food is good, the drinks are good, the beer selection is good, but also "Wow, people sure do like to get dressed up just to hang out at a food court."
