It was on my mind last night, so I ended up going. The half chicken was very good/moist, as were the cucumber salad and fried rice sides. The half chicken and two sides was enough for me to save enough for a decent sized lunch. I still think the skin/char of the chicken at El Pollo Rey is a bit better, but this stuff was legit and the rest of the sides look pretty good.

Poi-o is pretty tasty. Great wood fire chicken and excellent ribs. They sides are all great to. Very reasonable prices

I've been twice now to Poi-O . It is fantastic.

No ribs available at 12:45 was not ideal, so I still have those to look forward to.

Maybe the second floor risk could be overcome if they called it Totally Nude Pokesan.

Probably risky for the US, but very typical in larger Asian cities. Restaurants and retail stacked on top of each other.

With much different building codes and no ADA compliance.

grad school is pretty good. the jerk chicken and the burger were both something i'd happily order again. i like that you don't have to get wings to get the level of spice/heat that you want, as they treat that almost like a thai restaurant ("burger, spice level 4/5" is a valid order). i was a bit thrown by a beer list with a lot of unfamiliar options, but really liked the ones i tried. service was great, too.

it's not quite the easy jaunt on foot/streetcar from the CBD that p&L is but i'd probably rather eat there than any single place in p&L. and it's not that far of a walk from keno's, which is easily within streetcar/walk range for me during the work day.

^That location on Broadway is so tough but maybe a restaurant will do better than just a bar/music venut

I tried Grad School when I was passing through Springfield. Great burger. I'll definitely hit this place up at some point.
