Shoutbox

I've turned off the shoutbox for awhile. It might be turned back on but not sure at this point. It wasn't a case of misusage as far as cursing, etc. but more just being misused for it's overall content. (ie. general chit chat going on for pages when it was unnecessary)

Go ahead and post your thoughts on that here but don't expect it back for awhile. A new better solution might be on the way.

The shoutbox was only cool for breaking stuff like annoucements, sports happenings, and event announcements.

Most of the time it just sat there. When the Block annoucement broke...it was getting a workout.

in the mean time, we could always use IM and pull each other into a chat session that way

IM is one of the coolest methods of communication available on the net imo

IM is great for one-on-one conversations, but cannot do what IRC does.
