Have a honorary vehicle naming competition (I'm thinking more city staff pick the winner than an open contest) and the winner of each name gets to be the first person onto each train

On the last Saturday before park one train at Union Station and setup four mini retail stores inside the train for stores along Main.

Ha! What/who is Siren? Is that a gang or just a prolific spray painter?

Related to this. Will the streetcar's be stored out in the open or will they all be within the streetcar facility when idle? More plainly- are they vulnerable to be tagged by graffiti artists?

I think they're graffiti-proof - like in Turk 182.

they will be secured at all times when not in operation -- either in one of the three bays or behind fencing at singleton yard. the entire yard is under video surveillance.

And none of this will matter. Unless the fence is electric someone will scale it.

Cameras also don't matter as much as you think.

I wouldn't be surprised if people aren't already casing the site. There's a public path along side it making it really easy to get up close.

"late april, early may", per o'neill events yesterday (who is planning the opening day celebration). they are also seeking private sector donations to offset the cost, so that will drive how elaborate the event will be. after the politicos do their boring spiel, expect neighborhood-focused events to distribute people along the line. we can't all ride at once, of course!

"they are also seeking private sector donations to offset the cost"

Why not raffle off tickets for those who want to be part of the first ride? Or sell tickets using a bidding process.
