Franchises you want to see come to KC
Now that Trader Joe's will soon be a reality in KC, what other chains would you like to see infiltrate this market that are currently unavailable?
And if you like, tell where would be a good location for them.
I'm certain IKEA will be the first mention, but what others have you seen in other cities that would be good fits here? Restaurants? Bars? Retail?

Bar louie but sounds like it should be announced soon.
IKEA obviously.
Zara.
Would love ABC stores to expand.
Just take a still down Las Vegas Blvd to find the newest hottest chains. Can't think of any others at this moment.

They don't do franchising, and I probably forfeit whatever minimal foodie cred I might have around here, but I would really, really like White Castle to come back to this market.
Can't really make any other suggestions as I've no idea what's hot in the chain world.

I like COSI. I think its better than Panera, although a bit pricey.
Re: Franchises you want to see come to KC
Never heard of COSI, but I just remembered how much I enjoyed Tudor's Biscuit World in West Virginia. I can't imagine them expanding this far west, but damn they make some tasty biscuits.

Yes to White Castle.....I didn't even eat there much when they were here but now that they are gone I find myself having to stop at one in St. Louis whenever I'm there.

What????????
I thought many of you didn't like food chains.

I may be right. I may be wrong. But there is a lot of gray area in-between.
Re: Franchises you want to see come to KC
You act surprised every time someone expresses like for a chain. I would think at some point it would stop being surprising.

In-N-Out
A double meat, double cheese hamburger that taste that good for $2.99 would be great to have around.
That's a chain I like.

I'll have what the gentleman on the floor is having.
Re: Franchises you want to see come to KC
If you like in-n-out, try Burger to Go at 7th and Central in KCK. It's not the same, obviously, but I personally like their spin better.
Re: Franchises you want to see come to KC
I'll try it. I go thru that area twice a month or so. Always wanting to try a new place. I'll let you know what I think.

Sometimes we do. But sometimes we don't. It depends.aknowledgeableperson wrote: What????????

Re: Franchises you want to see come to KC
You also have to take into consideration that sometimes some people like some chains, but not all people like all the chains all the time. Others might like most chains but not like a few, while some dislike most chains but only like a couple. Still others might like all chains, and some may dislike all of them.KCMax wrote: Sometimes we do. But sometimes we don't. It depends.
