RIP Shake Shack

Embarrassing that we can't even keep a national fast food chain at the plaza these days...

Can we please elect actual leaders. I know many in the city keep saying local control! It's painfully obvious we have no leadership on the city level.

This is a very urban minded tenant willing to put locations in with no parking / drive through. Not many replacements out there

It's not shake shakes fault, it's the rowdy teens that end up fighting then the fighting turns to gun shots. That location is always busy and it can get really busy when you have groups of sports teams staying in the plaza.

It's funny how KCMO tries to make a problem go away by closing a location. People probably thought closing America's pub would make the shootings in Westport go away but it still happens almost weekly. Closing shake shake won't make a difference, shootings and violence will still happen. Only time going to plaza is worthwhile is a weekday afternoon or evening, the weekends are basically a no go zone and it's horrible because that is when most tourists will see the area.

Was there an actual announcement they are closing for good, or just a assumption because of the shooting.

What would an "actual leader" do different in you mind?

Not start a fight with the police for starters. Does anyone think we are better than 4 years ago? An actual leaders would work with the with the governor, police chief, and board. That pissing contest accomplished nothing.

Second an actual leader would call out the Jeans soft on crime bullshit. He has no problem spouting off about Jeff City Republicans but is silent on putting violent criminals back onto our streets

Didn't the George Floyd stuff kind of hurt? The police are afraid to chase or use force now when people don't obey commands. To some, running from police and being abused by police is a lottery ticket because lawsuits follow once it's caught on tape

You and Quinton thought it was cute taking knees and siding with the ACAB crowd. How's that working for you dense one? You said for years crime was overblown because it was never in your Quality Hill neighborhood. Now it is and you've shifted blame to Jeff City Republicans

That certainly didn't help. Lots of politicians used it to win elections. We can honestly say those people who did that have made us less safe.

I didn't blame anybody but project all you want to create fake outrage and a fight. I'm asking for solutions since we were laying blame at people's feet.

PD budgets continue to go up here so can out that fake outrage away too

I listed a couple. I will also add since it's clear leadership in this city has no idea how to actually lead it's time for the feds to come back in and stay more than 2 months.

The feds coming in didn't seem to do anything? You listed general outrage comments, not anything of substance. It's fine, trying to make it a political play will definitely fix the problem.
