Next wave of sprawl: Lone Jack

Developer proposes 233-acre subdivision that would more than double the size of the town (KC Star).
With the explosin of Lee's Summit it was inevitable that the development would spread east along 50 Hwy, but I'm suprised it happened so soon. At least the developer talks about mixed-use and New Urbanism, with over the half of the dwellings being attached, narrow streets, open space, etc. However there is no mention retail or offices, so it might not really be all that mixed. And predictably the townsfolk are already complaining about the pedestrian and mixed housing-type features that would set this apart ffrom the typical sprawled subdivision.
