^This is going to transform Midtown and RCP corridor over next decade more than most realize (outside raggers). That is as long as developers don't blow it and honor the intentions of TOD instead of creating isolated islands.

Your move MAC, make the most of it. Other TOD players welcomed too!

The retaining walls for the 51st Street station went in sometime last week.

Few progress photos from this evening's walk.
Re: OFFICIAL - Main Street Streetcar Extension
Why are those gleaming rails so far from the sidewalk?

Re: OFFICIAL - Main Street Streetcar Extension
I can see how that fits on this stretch, but where is the bike lane going to fit if the sidewalk has to extend to the station platforms next to the rails ? Or is the bike lane only to 27th?

Re: OFFICIAL - Main Street Streetcar Extension
Wait, what?Service is planned to operate seven days a week, from 4 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Monday through Thursday, 4 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday, 5 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday, and 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday. The service plan for the opening year includes trains every 10 minutes during weekdays and every 12 minutes during weekends
Is this true?
Re: OFFICIAL - Main Street Streetcar Extension
It has to at least match the pre-COVID Main MAX level of service.
Re: OFFICIAL - Main Street Streetcar Extension
Those hours will translate across the entire service? That’sa significant change

Re: OFFICIAL - Main Street Streetcar Extension
Wish we could get that down below 10 mins & 12 mins
Re: OFFICIAL - Main Street Streetcar Extension
It will be very difficult if the city keeps shooting down density along its route. Mind you MUCH more populated transit corridors run similar service, so the city really is lucky to be getting this level of service at all.
Re: OFFICIAL - Main Street Streetcar Extension
Those hours are...weird. why not get the drunk people home.
I keep trying to read them but they don't make sense. They're running hours that will be empty but not running hours that are needed if I'm not an idiot. Wtf are these? Who decided this?

Re: OFFICIAL - Main Street Streetcar Extension
If I'm reading it correctly, someone thought it was a good idea to not support the 3am bars

Re: OFFICIAL - Main Street Streetcar Extension
2025 is too far away my dudes! I would say that 2am is too early, except a lot of bars are open later than that. 230 am would probably be better.
