Our hotel was about 2 blocks from this area when we visited back in March, I thought the area had already gone under a lot of redevelopment, but once this is done it will be even more massive.

Seattle has such a healthy and diverse economy and I really think it's the best downtown on the west coast.

Oh okay, I wouldn't disagree with that.

I love how this development looks compared to it's surroundings. It seems to fit perfectly in this area and while I'm only an amateur, this is the type of infill project I wish KC could land...specifically East Village or River Front.

Good job Seattle!

If anyone is looking to go to Seattle in January and parts of Feb, Alaska Airlines has a great deal from KC to Seattle, 145 Roundtrip with taxes, really cheap deal. I think the sale ends today

Cool project being led by a KC Architecture firm. The Seattle Sounders are turning the old Boeing HQ into their training facilities.

It really pains me that Sporting KC is such a natural fit for downtown in every sense, and that it’s out in the middle of nowhere.

It’s even more painful when you see even STL is putting there’s downtown. What a fucking waste of potential.

Not just that, but it's in western KCK which is just a god awful part of metro KC. It's like Truck Stop meets Suburbia in the most ugly part of KC (flat, rural etc).

Yes, worst possible location. And it's only there because the state of KS intervened and gave subs just to have something in kansas. The state of kansas immediately next to KCMO has been the worst drag on the city possible. That still doesn't negate the fact that KCMO takes one step forward and 2 steps back on it's own.
