Sporting Kansas City
1-0! Great win up in DC this weekend. Looks like they're picking up right where they left off in exciting play, scoring in almost the last minute of play to clinch the win.
Home opener this Saturday vs. New England.

Agreed, these guys are on fire. Wow. Awesome win at Livestrong, it could have been 6-0 or 7-0.

3-0!!!! Seattle is the only other team to win all their matches. SKC leads the league in goals with 6, shots on goal with 24, and shots with 62 - fourteen more than any other club.

I went last night. Crowd was disappointing. I thought it would be a full house. Fun time overall though.

They don't seem to draw nearly as well on Sundays. I don't know why they continue to schedule Sunday afternoon matches. I guess to draw families?KCPowercat wrote:I went last night. Crowd was disappointing. I thought it would be a full house. Fun time overall though.

Tough overlap of the KU game, also. Great result, though!KCPowercat wrote:I went last night. Crowd was disappointing. I thought it would be a full house. Fun time overall though.

There seemed to be a lot of KU fans at the game. We were watching the KU game in the member's club until there were about 5 minutes left in the game, went to the stands and about 5-10 minutes into the Sporting KC match I knew that KU won from the mighty roar that came from the Member's Club

I was disappointed in the crowd too. But, I figured it was probably because of KU. It never entered my mind that Sunday had something to do with it.
In any event....3-0!

I've seen the stadium so many times on tv. I want to go to a game live so bad! It seems like a fun time. It doesn't hurt that the team is among the best in MLS as well. 3-0-0!

Tons of people who watched the KU game instead. Crowd will be back to normal for next home game against the Galaxy, aka extremely packed.

Just pathetic, really. We have by far the easiest path to the Olympics. Glad I didn't buy tickets yet.AllThingsKC wrote:This US Men's National Team did not qualify for the Olympics.AllThingsKC wrote:Teal Bunbury named to US (Under 23) national team...

Re: 2012 Sporting Kansas City
I don't know what the attendance was for tonight's game, but that stadium sure looked empty on TV. Even when SKC was going against KU last week, the attendance at Livestrong Sporting Park looked much better.
