Good news, even if it's for a parking lot for the Law Building.

I'd rather see it become a landfill than a parking lot.

Death of the Main Street Morgue

I thought I heard a long time ago that it was the Main Street Morgue that was preventing the renovation of the Law Building. It seems like the Main Street Morgue building was a part of the plan, but they wouldn't sell because they were making more money as the morgue than as a business.

I believe that it's Transylvania that is located next to the Law building on Grand. Having that building there certainly hasn't helped them out.

The Main Street Morgue is at 13th and Main, between a parking lot and American Bridal. I think this building was purchased recently by the group that bought a number of properies in the area (I think it was Bridges or DST??) My guess is that its just being cleared for future development.

Thank God they're gone.

The top two floors of the Main Street Morgue have been removed already.
There is no fifth destination.
