I love Prairiefire. It would be a huge shame if something happens to that place. It's probably the only walkable dense thing in JoCo so I don't wanna lose it lol.
Secondly- I've always wondered why KCMO doesn't make an exact replica of this structure and put it downtown.

Defaulting doesn’t mean they’ll shut down… that definitely ruins any chance of recovering the balance.

Scheels is a good sporting goods store. I certainly begrudge them their location but meh, sometimes it is worth my trouble to go there.

My sister regularly drives 15 minutes to it because they let dogs in the store

Bondholders were sent a notice of default last month after Prairiefire could not pay off $15 million in debt by its maturity date, which is the first slice of $65 million in Kansas Sales Tax and Revenue, or STAR, bonds issued in 2012.

And the KC Star article today says "a grocery store is underway." Would that be the Amazon Fresh building that has been finished since last summer and has never opened?

That would be my assumption, I’ll head by there some time this week to confirm if that’s the one, or if another new one popped up at some point

Might be something other than Amazon Fresh now. I believe they're hitting the brakes on all their grocery growth.

It isn’t going to be an Amazon Fresh. My point is they are implying a grocery store is coming. Yeah, they would like a grocery to fill that spot - but that building has been finished since early last summer and still nothing.

Maybe Whole Foods. Sun Fresh location on KS side. Ramey Price Cutter? Dillions back to area? World Fresh Market? Gerbes? Kroger? Albertsons?

It makes no sense to me why a College Baseball HoF should belong in suburban Overland Park except tax subsidies.
Overland Park and the metro does not have a single D-1 college baseball team or any other meaningful connection to College Baseball as far as I know.
Why would anyone visit this? If anything it should be in Omaha, or Cooperstown even. College basketball experience makes sense and we could even make a reasonable argument for a CBB Hall of Fame.
